When treachery deprives Lancre of almost all of its' blooded royalty the last of the bloodline, a baby boy is found by Granny Weatherwax. She makes the decision to hide the babe in a troop of actors. Will the rightful heir of Lancre come back for his birth right or will the traitors have succeeded? loses steam (and clarity) a bit before the end is nigh, but the three witches are all wonderful, the Scottish pay er play gets a good going-over, and it's definitely very funny. no reviews | add a review
Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0061020664, Mass Market Paperback)Terry's Pratchett's profoundly irrelevetn novels, are consistent number one bestsellers in England, where they have catapulted him into the highest echelons of parody next to Mark Twain, Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Adams, and Carl Hiaasen. Meet Granny Weatherwx, the most highly regarded non-leader a coven of non-social witches could ever have. Generally, these loners don't get involved in anything, mush less royal intrigue. but then there are those times they can't help it. As Granny Weatherwzx is about to discover, though, it's a lot harder to stir up trouble in the castle than some theatrical types would have you think. Even when you've got a few unexpected spells up your sleave. (retrieved from Amazon Fri, 24 Apr 2009 07:58:09 -0400) The first test round has been closed.
