You can find our pictures at www.myspace.com/ashestars, right on my myspace. If you don't have a myspace, but DO have a facebook, you can add me there and see them. Search for Ashley Kollar at Suny Plattsburgh (it's in NY). All the pictures are there too :) This is, by the way, the first of 2 weddings. This one was a small one we had to do before the big one for paperwork purposes, my husband is from Slovakia. You wouldn't believe how crazy things can get when you marry a foreigner!

Sweet Love is my first Strohmeyer as well. I'm looking forward to reading her others (I don't think my library carries her, though. I may have to use interlibrary loan to get them).

hahaha well I'm glad I'm not alone there! My mom loves scary books, that's all she reads. I can't do it. You just got married too?? Congratulations! My husband and I were married on August 1st this year... I would love to see some pictures from you wedding! Some of ours are up on my myspace, theres a link in my profile.

Thanks for accepting my friends request. I've been reading some of your reviews on your website, and it seems that we have similar tastes in books. I enjoyed your review of Sweet Love by Sarah Strohmeyer especially; it was a bit similar to my review.

Hi, I'm sorry its taken me so darn long to respond! It seems like the past month has been mostly preparing to leave to visit family in Montana, going to Montana and coming back home! I'm so glad to have my life back into some semblance of normalcy! I checked out your blog a few weeks ago, and was mighty impressed! I hope to get caught up soon and spend some serious blog time, gotta get my blogroll set up! When I do, I'll be sure to add yours!

We share a lot of books in common, we must both have exquisite taste!

I had better luck with bookreporter.com last year. I think the chances of getting an arc have declined as the number of subscribers has increased. They recently started advertising on shelfawareness. Or, maybe it's just a round of bad luck....

The best suggestions I can give are to join the blog rings, I've got them listed on my blog site In the Shadow of Mt. TBR, comment on as many other blogs as you have time for, and use as many tags as make sense. Also, never underestimate LibraryThing! Always make sure to write a review for each book, then post a link in the "what are your reading now?" section, saying just finished reading Hope's Boy (or whatever the book is, here's my review. I also write a short review for the book's page, then include the URL at the end.

Other things that drive up hits are: Review popular books and ARCs, have giveaways and contests (there's one, Maw Book Blog, giving away a complete set of Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series, and she's got over 300 entries for it!), make LT friends and add them to your blogroll (they'll usually do the same.) Try to enter a post everyday, which is where the blogrings come in handy because I've got one for Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, then usually post a review in between. Today, I'll post a review of Sense and Sensibility and explain my Jane-a-thon.

Thanks for the message. I too have been looking for a book club in the area forever! I don't know how much fun it will be with two members, but it's a start! If you are still interested when do you want to start? I mostly read fiction, but I am trying to incorporate more non-fiction into my reading so I am up for anything.
