Thanks for leaving a message on my board. I guess our reasons for reading the Thompson are both similar and different. It's a great book, although not, I think, as good as 'The New Policeman' and as far as I'm concerned any great book is worth reading even if it wasn't targeted at me in the first place. Which this wasn't because I'm a 58 year old lecturer in Children's Literature. But, I lecture in CL because I think so much of it is worth reading, not the other way round. I haven't been entering books here that long so not all my favourite CL books are on my library, only the ones I've read this past year. However, if you want some suggestions you could look at what is on my shelves or follow the links on my page and go over to my blog. I see you've read some of the Cornelia Funke but not 'Inkspell' or 'The Dragon Rider' which are both excellent and she has a new one coming out sometime in the New Year. I will add you to my interesting libraries list and look forward to seeing what ideas for new reads I can get from you.

I'm a chick, 15, in the middle of nowhere. If you want some rediculous reading go to our adventures, we tend to get in a lot of trouble. Only if you've read book 7 oh HP or you'll be in for a couple of rude awakenings
Come on In, We'll only jinx you a little

As you guessed, the members of the Hogwarts Express group that post the most are mostly female. But we love all our members (we do have both male and female members from all over the world), so jump right in and join our discussions. We will be discussing the first four chapters of Goblet of Fire next week (many members of the group are rereading the Harry Potter books together), if you would like to join in the reread.
I look forward to seeing you around.
