About meI love books! Always have, always will. We have home movies from my first birthday and every time I opened a book, it had to be read to me at least twice before I would open another present. Then I worked on and off for a large bookstore chain (no not that one, the other one), which I loved.

About my libraryI have a lot of different books. Mostly fiction, I especially love "chick lit" and historical fiction, depending on my mood and often the season ("chick lit" just seems more readable in the summer). I also have a lot of religion books, my BA is in religion, so there are text books and books I just find interesting. I think you'll find there's a little bit of something for everybody on my list.
With the New Year comes a New Challenge. I'm going for 75 in 2009:
I've also decided to start working my way through various "Top 100" lists. I'm starting with the BBC list that's been circling the internet for the last couple months.
Check out my "Currently Reading" collection to see what I'm working on now!

Also, if you did want any Pampered Chef stuff, you have until tomorrow at 5pm to put in your order.
I hope you're having a lovely day! :)

Chat would be great! I will actually be around this time too, unlike when I was supposed to be there but always late. Yay for a new season!

Personally, I love the colors. It's just hard to tell exactly what the finished product will be until it is a finished product. And by then it is too late to change anything if it's not perfect.
Are you opposed to work-in-progress pictures? I wasn't sure if you want the whole thing to be like, Surprise! It's finished! Or more like, look how it's coming, is this okay? I'm assuming the former, hence, you have not yet received any WIP pictures.
That's all I've got. Nothing really. Just stopping in to say hi and hope all is well. And I think you might either love or hate your quilt. ;)

It was pretty funny at times tho, I keep thinking about Snape's face when Lavender burst into the hospital wing to visit Won Won. Ah, I loved that scene.

Thanks for the Doctor Who link! So is Dr. Who not an acceptable abbreviation? Just curious. I didn't want to keep committing Doctor Who faux pas. ;)
For sizing, I'll go for queen because bigger is better when it comes to blankets. I wasn't sure if you wanted details of your bedroom made public, which is why that last one was private, in case you were wondering. :)
Did I forget anything? I suppose I know where to find you again if I did!

just thought I'd write and thank you again for The History of Now. I;ve finished it, and thought it was excellent. (I've not yet written a review, but will get round to it soon hopefully!)
Thanhks again, and remember if there's anything I can do in return... :-)

Typically I use cotton fabric and either cotton, polyester, or wool batting. I've never used down for anything like this so we should be set. Do you happen to know either what kind of bed you have or the dimensions of it? I hate a skimpy bed quilt that barely covers the top mattress so I just wanted to make sure of the size of the bed.
The vase is lovely -- you said you painted it? Painting is something I love but am not very good at. Which makes something well-painted all the more impressive to me! Do you want a similar theme for the quilt as the vase? The nature-type feel? From the colors and the look of the vase and everything else, we could go for the more soothing side or the more vivid, playful side. Do you have a preference? Or, what are a few words you'd use to describe the style you're looking for? It's all just so I know which colors get more highlights and what kinds of prints I'll be looking for. If you would rather not think about it, I'll take care of it, but if you have preferences, these questions help me understand them.
Let's hope for the end of the summer! As long as I can find what I want, that should be a very realistic time frame.
