Well, aren't you the brightest spot this Christmas season! I received the lovely candle today, another gorgeous yummy scent, and I was/am totally blown away by the card you made--it is just precious! Thank you so much!
This is shaping up to be a low-key Christmas; I'm just planning to have dinner with friends and frankly the wife is crazy these days, so who knows how it will go? Both my niece and my sister's mother-in-law are in the hospital now so nobody in my family is feeling a lot of holiday cheer.
Mostly I'm just thinking that 2010 should be a better year for everyone. One of my goals is to get my act together sufficiently to make the HE get-together in Florida at the end of the year--is there any chance at all that you guys could make that trip? You know you have a LOT of friends here who would be overjoyed if so.
All the best, and hearty hugs,
Elizabeth

Oh My Word. You cannot believe the sense of gratefulness I felt when I found a small little gift on my dining room table today. I have been feeling rather humbug about this holiday season with everything going on. Your gift brightened my day. Thank you so very much for the candle. I love it.
Sincerely,
Heather

I'm glad you liked the little Edward doll. I was very proud of how his hair turned out. It came out nice and thick, and in just about the exact shade I imagined it would be.
And with the cape, you can sometimes pretend he's Dracula. ;)
The candles you sent to JP are so lovely! And delicious smelling!
Many hugs!

I got a present!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
And I have to say, I'm totally impressed with the wrapping job! That took me some time to unpackage. And THEN...such a gorgeous wrapping job I almost didn't open the boxes all the way! Sugar cookie and cocoa therapy. Yuuummmmm!
Thank you again! I am always as excited to find a package from Australia in the mail. Especially from such wonderful friends. :o)

Lucky for you, there haven't been too many major events in the group. MsBella's boyfriend was in an accident recently, but is OK. Maren switched jobs and is very happy with the change. Other than that, I don't think there is any real news.
Anyway, I hope things calm for you soon. I'm a little worried about how busy they are keeping you. Not good for your health. Not good for anyone's health, really. Take care of yourself!

I survived and am back home today.
Thank you so much for the flowers. Even the student doctors would comment about how nice the sunflowers are and I could brag with a nonchalant toss of my head Oh yes, from friends (big exaggeration but I think its acceptable in online land i don't know)in Australia, where it is Spring, you know. That was so kind of you and so expensive of you. The vase is quite beautiful. I am so grateful to you for sending them. Andrew's speaking from the future was quite right, as a matter of fact,on everything they've studied postop - no malignant cells in the sample lymph nodes and so far no where else! Now I've just the drains and pumps hanging out of sutured skin to attend to, the pain and usual postop stuff. I did have a view of Central Park, if you stood at a certain angle at the far right of the window and looked diagonally. I saw a morphine induced Christmas tree out the hall window one evening = well, the traffic lights and other lights were green and red and the perspective was somewhat triangular. Next morning I realized Mount Sinai would not have a Christmas Tree, being a Jewish institution, and it was just traffic but I showed my daughter the tree anyway:) Now my sister is here from Michigan to take care of me so everything is good. Thanks so much for your kindness, support and generosity.
Fondly,
Denise

But isn't he the dreamiest??!! I am sooooo over Bill! Do you watch the show too? I'm a huge fan. You should come up with a line of vamp candles each representing all our favorite male vampires... Eric Northman, Mr. Darcy, Obama, Edward, Erick Knight, Dimitri Belikov.....SIGH!!

Thanks so much for stepping up :)
While you were sending me your questionnaire, I was sending a message to Brenda who also knows html, setting out what I thought would be required. I'll cut and paste it and send it to you as well.
Vikitty also offered to help, and knows html. You three might have to arm-wrestle for the job (tee hee).
Expect a long-ish e-mail from me in the coming few days, to all of the volunteers en masse, to try to get us moving on this project.
Thanks again,
Michelle

I got a condition status on Sunday at Tiffany's: This book has
what looks like a little water damage in the back 10 pages, but not on any
pages that have words on them.
Is that alright?

about beneath me was the whole hoop of the world. And while I stood
there I saw more than I can tell and I understood more than I saw; for
I was seeing in a sacred manner the shapes of all things in the spirit,
and the shape of all shapes as they must live together like one being.
An I saw that the sacred hoop of my people was one of many hoops
that made one circle, wide as daylight and as starlight, and in the
center grew one mighty flowering tree to shelter all the children of
one mother and one father. And I saw that it was holy."

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked The Wasp Factory, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

I don't have an iPhone, and likely won't get one unless/until Apple unlocks it for carriers besides AT&T. I do, however, have an iPod Touch, which is nearly the same, with the major differences being (a) it's not a phone and therefore (b) I don't have a constant internet connection; I need to be near a WiFi hotspot to connect, and (c) it doesn't have a camera. I love love love it, and absolutely recommend it to anyone even remotely social-networking-savvy who's looking at MP3 players.

I don't have very much on my Bookmooch inventory because I like to keep my books! I hoard them - such a book hoarder! I have to keep finding more space to put more book shelves for all my books on - even with Bookmooch! I mostly have put there double copies - hehe.
Anytime I can help with a book, or recommendation - just ask.

Have you read any of the Twilight series yet? My daughter likes them, but I'm hesitant to add them to my reading pile because I've been somewhat spoiled by Anne Rice's vampires and reviews of Twilight have been mixed. I'd love to hear what you have to say about them.
Peace and Laughter!
